Informativa privacy dell'app WODB
Francesco Cosenza — contatto: info@wodb.it.
Quali dati tratta l'app
- Live Activity.
6(1)(b) GDPR). Senza link l'app non può
mostrarti nessuna scheda; nient'altro è obbligatorio.
6(1)(f) GDPR).
Chi riceve i dati
Uniti: Google LLC aderisce all'EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, riconosciuto adeguato
I tuoi diritti
Puoi chiedere accesso, rettifica, cancellazione, limitazione del trattamento e
portabilità dei tuoi dati scrivendo a info@wodb.it.
(garanteprivacy.it). Per cancellare i dati
salvati sul dispositivo basta eliminare l'app.
Diritto di opposizione. Puoi opporti in qualsiasi momento ai
trattamenti basati sul legittimo interesse scrivendo a
info@wodb.it.
Modifiche
alto.

WODB app privacy policy
WODB iPhone app · updated October 14, 2026
In short: the app has no accounts and uses no analytics or tracking tools
of its own; we do not sell data. It downloads from wodb.it the workout your trainer
shared with you through a link. Exercise images and videos come from the sites your
trainer chose, for example YouTube, which may show ads in its videos. Everything else
stays on your iPhone.
Data controller
Francesco Cosenza — contact: info@wodb.it.
What data the app handles
- The workout link. When you open a link, the app asks wodb.it for the
workout tied to the code in the link. Apart from the code, the server receives only the
technical data of each connection (IP address, iOS and app version, device language);
the app does not send your name, email or device identifiers and does not keep cookies
from our server. Our server keeps no logs of these requests; the hosting provider
(OVHcloud) may record technical connection data for the security of its own
infrastructure, under its own policies.
- The workout. Your trainer prepares it on wodb.it and it may contain
data about you: your name, if the trainer added it to the link, and notes on the
exercises. This data comes from your trainer, and Francesco Cosenza is the data
controller for it too. The workout is stored on the wodb.it servers until the trainer
deletes it.
The link stops working when the trainer deletes it or when it expires, if an expiry
was set.
- Data stored on your iPhone. Workout progress and time, the workouts
you save (link and name), a copy of the workouts you open (so they reopen instantly, even
offline), your preferences (theme, bell, rest timer) and any custom
sound you pick stay on the device and in its backups, if you make them; they are not
sent to us or to anyone else.
- Notifications. If you allow them, the app schedules local bell
notifications on your phone (end of a rest or of a timed exercise while the screen is
locked). They don't go through any server and are never used for ads or reminders.
- Exercise images and videos. Your trainer chooses them and they may be
hosted on external sites: YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com and i.ytimg.com, by Google) or
other sites chosen by the trainer. When you open a workout, your iPhone downloads
images and previews directly from those sites, which receive your IP address and the
technical data of the connection. Videos use the YouTube player (YouTube API Services)
in privacy-enhanced mode and load only when you open one: Google collects viewing data
under its own policy, and the
player's cookies stay in the app only while the video is open.
- Live Activity. The Lock Screen and Dynamic Island card is generated
on the device and does not go through our servers.
- Data from Apple. If you chose to share analytics with app developers
in iOS settings, Apple provides us with crash reports and aggregated, anonymous usage
statistics, which we use only to fix bugs and improve the app. You can turn this off
in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements › Share With App
Developers.
Why, and on what basis
- The link code is used to show you the workout you asked to open: performance of the
service you requested (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without a link the app cannot show you any
workout; nothing else is required.
- The name and notes your trainer adds to the workout let you receive and follow the
workout prepared for you: performance of the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Connecting to the sites hosting images and videos lets you see the full workout as
your trainer prepared it: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who receives the data
We do not sell data or hand it over for other purposes. Workouts are hosted by OVHcloud
(OVH SAS), which processes them on our behalf as a
processor (Art. 28 GDPR) and is bound by contract to the same protections described
here. YouTube, the other sites chosen by the trainer and Apple receive the data described
above as independent controllers, under their own policies. Google may process it in the
United States: Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the
European Commission found adequate. The other sites chosen by the trainer may also be
outside the European Union, and we do not know them in advance.
How long
Data on your iPhone stays until you remove it in the app or delete the app. Workouts stay
on the wodb.it servers until the trainer deletes them.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and
portability of your data by writing to info@wodb.it.
For the content of the workout you can also contact your trainer. You can lodge a
complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei
dati personali (garanteprivacy.it). To delete
the data stored on the device, just delete the app.
Right to object. You can object at any time to processing based on
legitimate interest by writing to info@wodb.it.
Changes
If the app changes how it handles data, we will update this page and the date at the
top.
